The village streets are dark .
Above the stars are shinning bright .

They’re singing Christmas carols
at the lake by Candlelight .

All the Christmas trees are blinking
with pretty coloured lights.

Everywhere you look
there are different Christmas sights.

The Inns are full of laughter
as the barman calls the time .

Its getting close to midnight
and the bells begin to Chime .

There is only standing room left
around the chapel doors ,

From the altar the priest looks up
and then humbly implores,

We must keep Christ in Christmas
and tell everyone you know,

The Story of what happened
in a stable long ago.

We’ve got to keep Christ in Christmas,
sometimes he’s been left out,

Never forget Dear people
what Christmas is all about .

The night is quiet now
and there is magic in the air.

Happy Birthday Jesus
is the whisper in every prayer .

The kids are in their beds
and Santa Claus is on the way,

With gifts for everybody .
Thank God for Christmas Day .
