You have watered me with your lies

The splash of mud in reckless gossips

Like weed in your lawn I grow

And you mow

You keep cutting me down

Where it hurts

Mindless of the bad blood

That you infuse on your yard

In the minds of the mindless

You crave my destitute

My demise

With no stone to define me

When am gone

But you keep on…

Mowing and weeding the grass that never dies

You will cut me to a dying level

The rains will come and I will grow again

Feeding on the nutrients of your grass

I challenge your determination…

To send me beyond

By mere prejudice

Nothing else

But vicious hallucinations

Blurring your sight

Compounding your sense of tolerance

And driving yourself crazy

No apparent reason to state

You have degenerated into melancholy

To fertile your hate

And plead sympathy

In reckless pretense

To a world you careless about

You have lost your humanity

I sympathize for you

You will be puzzled

Falling over on your acts

Like old Batista

You will bring the jungle to the city

In its heart

You have created a revolution

Unable to pollute

The mind of the thinker

The mere ecstasy of your contempt

Has been borne with the semen of disaster

NOW…

You are mindless of the responsibility

That comes with orgasm

To pollinate the flower

That has withered on the vine!

On the Edge of Words by Debra Kraft

Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
