This ballad is a celebration of the joy and significance of Christmas, using the symbolism of the number 12 to highlight the themes of love, unity, and the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a festive and uplifting poem that captures the spirit of the holiday season.

 Verse 1:

Twelve months in a year, and Christmas falls on the twelfth
A time of joy and cheer, a time to sing and to be merry
The birth of our savior, the light of the world
A precious gift from above, sent to save us from the darkness

Chorus:
Merry, merry Christmas, a time of love and light
A time to celebrate, the birth of Jesus Christ

Verse 2:
Twelve apostles by his side, spreading the word of love
Twelve tribes of Israel, all united in the love of God
The perfect number, a symbol of unity and peace
A time to come together, and to lay aside all our differences

Chorus:
Merry, merry Christmas, a time of love and light
A time to celebrate, the birth of Jesus Christ

Verse 3:
Twelve days of Christmas, a time of giving and joy
Twelve bells ringing out, spreading cheer to all girls and boys
A time to embrace each other, and to share in the love of Christ
A time to be grateful, for all that we have been given

Chorus:
Merry, merry Christmas, a time of love and light
A time to celebrate, the birth of Jesus Christ

Verse 4:
Twelve years of tradition, a time to honor the past
Twelve months of the year, a time to look to the future at last
A time to come together, and to celebrate the birth of the Son
A time to be thankful, for all that he has done

Chorus:
Merry, merry Christmas, a time of love and light
A time to celebrate, the birth of Jesus Christ
