After the Tide

I want to take your hand

And walk along the sand,

But we won’t talk of days gone by.

We had so much grief and misery then

It would just make us give up and cry.

I want to take your hand

And walk along the sand

We’ll give it another try

And talk of visions we have seen

And rekindle memories of what should have been.

I want to take your hand

And walk along the sand

And start our journey anew

Because the dreams that we once had

Will still happen for me and for you.

So honey take my hand

And walk with me along the sand

We’ll cast what fate dealt us behind

As we joyfully talk of our hopes and our dreams

And the happiness that we shall find.
