Mapping

if we looked at lives
from skies so blue,
if we fled to clouds
to watch our ghosts
walk by,
we’d see some patterned filigree,
a trace of human flame,
its cutting sharp
in neighborhoods,
but captured by intent.
we’d plot this course
like scientists,
observing strange life forms
and conquer hurtful memories
questing fulsome noise.
tiny human beings,
so vastly proud and poised,
remain just filaments
of movement
when traced from heights
so blue.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
