after his vote he preens,

it’s time to talk about kids,”
as if his hate crime didn’t
tell kids all
about his oh-so-holy spittle,
as his crucified god

I'm always painfully amused by those who think they can set themselves before Him and decide who is blessed or cursed. People who do this unknowingly travel roads to their own destruction. But they are roads provided by Him and that is the path they chose. The path we all may choose if we are so inclined. But I abhor destruction in any form and will not travel that way.
A very strong write, Larry. Homosexuality should not be an issue for the government to dicide, at least not the federal government. My gut feeling is, since marriage is a legal contract, that it should be a legal issue addressed by the courts or perhaps one for churches to decide since they often preside at weddings. I think I would be ok with it being handed off to states, let each state make their own laws regarding it. At least this way, those who wish to be married and become a family will be able to do so in their own country. I have no idea who the lawmaker is you are referring to, but I certainly don't agree with his words or attitude.

I agree that Christ would cry in shame. Christ appealed most to the people who were considering the misfits. Well the voters should go forth and fire him. My brother lived in Kansas before he died and the people there are interesting.
