This is indeed a powerful write. From a personal perspective, as I have recieved such letters, and from the way you have of making the reader see what you want them to see.
A powerful articulation of the almost inexpressible confusion and "choking" sensations which contort both heart and mind at such times. Your choice of images is always uniquely startling but always "spot-on", and, once you have said it, seems such a "natural" and effortless metaphor. You are somehow master of these relational knife-edge writes. You always manage to make the real and surreal blend seamlessly - and always with vim and colour.
