Indigent Prayers
why set up time for
interviews, the white screen blank,
the crush of skull too deep
for hope?
without money, these creatures can be
forgotten, the legal procedures
obstinate in Texas
where the ex-guv signed papers
taking the tube
from the poor and helpless
while he now as prez fights
for life for those
having enough to pay
for intubation, long term feeding
and fifteen years of pain.
Seems our high and mighty President is trying to play God...non-medical decisions will affect many more unfortunates, who cannot afford long term care, I'm afraid--terrifying!
