with lust, and johns
patrol, their rusty
Edsels spit smoke,
and their drivers leer.
police flesh seems good when
motel’s neon beckons,
and fifty bucks is little
to pay for muscular thighs,
moist lips, a quickening heartbeat
until the surprise back-up arrives.
handcuffs have other uses,
but tonight the lock-up is
sincere, and bright teeth
reveal the joke.
