blessings of gold coins drip
slowly, if at all, down,
down time-lines drawn by snakes,
snakes, only the grass rifts wronged
by lies (too cold for parrots
sleeping through rainbows)
trace stories, whiplashes,
cold earaches brought home
to empty refrigerators
bleeding sour milk.
