if hearts could wait
so tenderly in repose,
waiting near cash register’s
mournful electric drone,
the totals ripped from codes
of honor,
if lovers could halt
their storms, those broken bottles of
remorse, fragments scattering
the perfume of love notes
past the slithering aisles
of acceptance,
if those long sighs could cease
their moaning, soft echoes
of wet kisses on lips
rejoicing entwinement,
if ghosts of lovers’ laughter
tinkling from harps could only
spin forever
in the heavens of cool evening’s
quiescence before fermenting
into doubt.
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
