hallways call for photos of the rich, those
who smiled and worked in committees,
flashing cash to gain entrance to cafeteria
food, the ease of movement assured by golden
spoons, each hand-shake the glue of success.
no one places restrictions on men in suits,
their Mercedes tucked in private spots,
their eyes polished by the propinquity of
chamois’ soft light touch.
inferior beings lurk near restrooms, their
haggard lives a melting point for observation,
their bowed heads signaling defeat.
no photos on the wall for them, no raised
eyebrows signifying stupid superiority, no
fat-cat chumminess practiced over poached
eggs and champagne.
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
