Popular belief shows women
Receiving gala, and quite passionate,
Poetry for Valentine’s Day,
Each one sealed with sloppy kisses.
Yet, it’s so often true
That many find
No poetry that day,
Not one verse, and their
Plight must be
Reversed.
If only a stanza
Could be written
Each to each, whereas
These damsels might
Recover,
Become grateful
Objects of desire
And fulfill their purpose
As receptors of romantic
poetry,
Might we all
Be made glad?
