Just three she was and is
And her grumpy temper put us
In the mood of a nap for
Nothing is to be done with a child
Who gets cranky, nothing but
A nap will do, and how she fights, she is
Not tired, not tired
Am I, but in minutes she’s snoring like a coal
Pumper down the line.
And the sweet thing awakes and wants a walk,
The park and geese and ducks
And the sun are out and when
The cars stop we can cross
the street and she reaches up
and takes your finger, just one in her
little hand and you are
pals again and she needs
a treat when she comes back home,
and don’t forget, Pops.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
