Comforting colors in a child’s
Palette, the red, greens
And yellows smeared like finger-paints,
The storm approaches
In a loop of beauty, a swift upward speed
A lingering feeling of panic
While eyes admire color shifts.
Red boxes drawn at random,
Some tied to red storms
Lunging on the plains.
Paola’s next, then Olathe,
Small Kansas town targets
For the reds, and commuters
Pause in wonder
While weather channel
Mates get wet,
Their commonsense
Erratic while wind whips their
Qoifed hairdo’s astray.
"Red boxes drawn at random,
some tied to red storms
lunging on the plains." LOVE the image you conjure. Right on! That was us in Texas last night/this morning. Stay safe!!
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
