The Night Brings Phantoms

so when spirits come
sit tight, hold on,
they flit across rooms
fly near ceilings
enter through your ears.

one or more brings
conflicting news, their
humor sparks distant drums
of memory
of desire
but don't retreat.

a friendly visage
seems to alter
their response,
then
they come begging
like puppies
looking for treats.

This one is interesting! I know this is fact, because my sister used to see beautiful ladies dressed in colorful clothings floating just beneath the ceilings when she sleeps, but while she was awake!!!

Yes, spirits do exist!!!!!! Well-done Larry!!!!!
