I can only imagine,
the secrecy,
the pain,
the day by day lies,
the comfort you lost
over us.
I can only wait till
tomorrow, our anniversary,
the day we dreamed
when first we had coffee,
taking chances for love.
And when he came home
last night,
did you smile, hold
him tight, rub his neck,
and offer yourself
to him
in your bed?
Our bed, your bed, his bed.
And when he finished, did
you think of me, of us,
of tomorrow, when
our own vows will renew, our
own plans come true ?
And when will you tell him,
when the kids,
when in the city,
we start again, keeping
our promises,
loving in our own bed,
not his bed,
our bed, our bed, our bed.
