in their tummies.
funny how the click
of clock makes it
all eerie, inevitable,
like the chills
you feel at a horror
flick, neck-hair
rising. left leg
bouncing in heart-beat
rhythm.
this would make an outstanding lead into a story...there is a lot not being said here, which allows the reader to fill in the gaps...the suspense if great filling the reader with ominous expectation.
