sudden silence
no where to go
each new day alone
the hope exists
the heart quickens
but anticipation is stymied
for who can appeal
to a negative
who can hope when
all signs read no
who would want
to force a love
so one-sided
so forelorn
it's doomed.
Sometimes it just takes the other person a little bit longer to figure out and see what is right in front of them.
