A poem of gratitude and soul searching

 

Be
Be no more
Nor any less.
Accord no less
Accept no more.
Faithfully pray
For others always.
 
Be not powerful
But weakness dismiss.
Be not wealthy
But beggary curse.
Be simple outward
Inward style display.
 
Be cautious in joy
Thankful in suffering.
Abhor yourself
Others love dearly.
Constantly reveal yourself
To yourself.

I like the second stanza the best...The opposites that are almost mind bogglingly different, yet the key to everything...

Nice poem the ending is a great point. We need to discover ourselves. I can relate to that cause I recently left a job I was upset with and I waited so long to leave because I was afraid of myself and what I could be. Great Message Brother Johnson!
