Of Insanity and Bliss
Your eyes heavenly,
Are adorned with gold and sweet fragrance.
Your seeing eyes,
Glow and sparkle with pure gold
Uphold a luminous glow
Of enchanting and hypnotic beauty.
Your eyes have glanced deep
Into my deepest purity;
My thirst is quenched not with wine,
But from your radiant smile,
More powerful than gold and silver.
More satisfying than wine dripping
From the great tranquil streams,
Slopping down the great valleys.
I’m forever captured in your cocoons
Of insanity and bliss
Unable to prevent my soul
From this deep experience of joy.
At sunset, deep in my quiet moment,
There you are from a distance
Gazing at me through eyes
Of a bright beaming sun
That sees through me,
Like I’m transparent and breathless.
I cannot help that you exist in my presence,
And in my future, maybe in my past,
Burning with desire in my lonely heart,
Like the full moon following me
In the silent darkness of the night.
Under your spell, my thoughts are dispersed
In the rush of the storm like a tsunami
Thunderous and furious,
Yet, with a gentleness and tenderness,
So, assuring and calming,
And seemingly impossible to forget.
You won’t leave me here alone,
There’s nothing when you’re gone,
Though you were never here.
How can I explain?
You would never be gone
Without a deep burden and hunger
In my lonely heart.
Now that you’ve touched my soul,
And charmed my spirit,
How can I breathe without
Your breath and love?
Now that we’re forever one,
And our oneness, shall
Open the gates for a new beginning.
I never thought anything
Could ever posses my heart and thoughts,
The way you’ve.
No one has ever touch me so deeply,
So, profoundly, it seems like a dream.
But, there you are in my presence,
Though I may never touch your garment,
Nor your shadow,
I could feel your presence,
Smell your roses and hear your heart beat,
And know the darkness between us,
Shall go away when the birds sing
Your name and grace in the morning rise,
High upon the tree over my window.
I’m alone, but not alone when I seek
Not to forget all that you’re to me.
Like a river, flowing aimlessly,
I find my greater self when our paths merge
Into that twin river we both belong.
A peaceful serenity flows over me
Like the gentle brush of the wind over a calm sea,
And I no longer dream, I feel you,
Your essence, so close, so real, so enchanting,
And I yearn to hold you so tight, forever.
