Our government should reflect the government the founding fathers' instituted when they wrote the constitution of the United States of America. Government by the people, for the people, and of the people has been comprimised by not representing the masses properly; In short they have failed us!
Whatever happened to
government by the people,
government for the people,
and government of the people,
so help us God!
Now its government by the
government, for the
government, of the
government so help us all!
We didn't want a war
but now we are in one.
We went looking for Asama Bin Laden,
but had to settle for Saddam Hessian.
We try to police the world while our
borders are breached.
Health care, insurance beyond the
average persons' reach pharmaceutical
companies should be impeached,
and drugs run rampant on city streets.
Gas prices and crude oil out of control
It takes two or three jobs,
per family, to survive,
each household.
The cost of living so high
it is not living!
And the rich still feed off the poor,
sucking our blood like a leech!
Whaever happened to freedom from
fear, freedom from want, freedom from
oppression, and freedom of religion.
Whatever happened to America?
Got that right, they've failed us: how? They've forgotten whom they serve, who voted them in - they make the same old tired promises, never act on them - in short, politics as usual. Sad, isn't it? Much truth in these lines, thank you, Michael, well done.

Yup, you understand what a representative republic is and how easy to corrupt....Those with the fattest briefcases buy their favors and the rest of us are left to twist in the wind....
That's what happens when you turn Free-Representative Government into a Lobby for Corporations - that's corporate goverment Cheny-Bush style. Something I don't think our "Founding Fathers" quite had in mind. Meanwhile they claim to be exporting Democracy to foreign soils - umm, not exactly serving as a good example - all Great Ideas are corupted when the originators are gone!
