Centuries of ribaldry since Abraham
Do we ever learn from the lamb?
Labels and diagnoses offered as an excuse
To hide the truth of child abuse

Innocent children of God unite
Stand up and demand your right
For protection from predators and scum
Who deserve to suffer and be undone
Laws to protect children now replaced
By adult victims defended by those disgraced

The world will be judged by this insult
When children die as a result
Of society’s indifference to human life
Wake up, people, and unite
Enough excuses for perpetrators
