Flesh cold and hard Deceives the living Who dare to endure The pain and suffering Of human loss Words cannot express The utter devastation By those now departed Our earthly boundary Defined by gravity and suffering Thoughts numbed momentarily By a soul now departed For heavenly treasures that anoint And soothe a broken body Its mission now complete A final resting place Beneath the porous red soil Will never contain my memory Of love forever released and free From mortal demands When the wind blows I shall think of you And your remarkable life Lived for my enjoyment Good-bye my love
