Fear

Fear debilitates
People hesitate
From doubt
Disillusionment grows like a cancer
Numbness gnaws at your soul
Like drowning rats on a pole

Safety elusive
Nothing conclusive
Paranoid and cautious
Somewhat nauseous
Pain intensifies
Like a bolt of current

Content no more
People seek excitement
Risk indictment
From earthly pleasures
Flirt with eternal damnation
Living life with exclamation

Open your heart
To God’s grace
No need to fret
It’s not over yet
Joy and cheer
Conquers fear
