Walk with me this glorious day
Sip our water and have our say
Share tidbits old and new
Discover insights we never knew
Set the pace and I will follow
Across the brook down by the hollow
Walk with me and share God’s beauty
Remind me that it’s not just our duty
Step over pinecones and gumballs
Careful that you do not fall
Sweet persimmon fills the air
Hand in hand without a care
Walk with me and view God’s creatures
In life’s grand scheme—a major feature
Feel the breeze gentle and cool
No more studies and no more school
Rest and enjoy your youthful appearance
Feel the sun’s warmth and blinding brilliance
Walk with me down the aisle
Through your veil I see your smile
I must let you go for another journey waits
I will miss our walks and dinner dates
Daddy’s little girl you’ll always be
Remember when you walked with me
