From the personal to the global...Hope is ever-present...

Poem Artwork

Majestic waves of emotion clearing, cleansing eons of self-inflicted sorrow.
Incredible happenings for a future clearly visible upon sharp horizons.
My body so receptive an instrument is touched to its vulnerable core,
Inner yearning flowing freely are played tenderly,
softly, soothing all torment...
Pianissimo..

Passions rise suddenly as consciousness drifts on the crest of a foam-tipped wave..
Valleys, mountains, fashion exquisite piercings within my aching heart.
Hope, love, inner strength hang hungrily within my grasp.
Serenity, grace, tranquility rippling effortlessly
through keen awareness in my desperate hour of need..

Dainty, delicate, flimsy Fireflies rise and fall as in a wisp of a dream,
Weaving their way through broken starlight.
Mother Moon casting her watchful eye over my unshackled form,
As I spin and float, spin and float delirious and free...
My mind suddenly played as an ancient Lyre..
Pain resounding with each stark note...
As tiny diamond stars of colour peruse my sacred Inner Sanctum..

Hanging on a thread of Eternity..
The blot and stain of childhood sins spiralling out into forgiving galaxies..
Capella's eyes so bright, yet soothing with loving understanding cradling raw hurt inflicted upon tender child soul...
Fear, the fear of an Innocent..
Finally washed away in the glory of a benign And ever-loving Universe...
Babe within arms hugged and held tightly as brilliant rainbows embrace joint hurts,
Then all at once swept away to distant stars where love holds fast the secrets and solution that is the key to all that is...

The musings of a lost, weary world cling to a crazy energy racing toward black holes of nothingness..emptiness.
A bewildered Earth scans the skies for a beacon of Hope...
Shafts of eternal starlight provide lifelines for the brave-hearted,
Alchemists of a daring new world step forward with Faith,
Where all dance to the beat of a fresh and new exciting drum of Peace...

And rejoice in the awakening of courageous life reborn...

Wow! This is incredible. Your choice of words, combining images in unusual ways, forces the reader to let go and let their imagination run freely. Once I let that happen, I understood the pain, the release, and the cleansing transformation experienced. Simply triumphant. What a tremendous gift for that wounded child soul. Sincerely, Corrine Ardoin

I enjoyed this poem especially the second stanza. It painted a picture. I visualized it and it was great!

The line, "My body so receptive an instrument....." is the yellow highlighter segment in this piece for me, and all within this writing expounds those words. Centrifugal composition of great magnitude and mosaic reverence. "...exciting drum of Peace...." I love that. ~~ the other Diana

Beauty-filled piece describing the amazement of the soul in its innocent wanderings pondering the destiny awaiting within the maze of the mysterious universe we spy upon. Your soul wishes to grasp it all and be fringed by the caress of each soft dream that passes like magellanic clouds of galaxies that share their light onto your understanding.

All the combined beauty and strength and delicacy of a butterfly emerging from the crysallis, Diana. A song of rebirth and renewal. Hope is always this agent of change. Vivid and captivating streams of consciousness here. xx

You have assembled an arrangement of emotion and
cosmic evolution that filled my mind with a galaxy of interesting imagery,
and hope, in an elegant way, for the universe and mankind.
This was a fun experience,

Beautifully worded, mystical poem,Diana.
Even now, at age seventy-seven, I must take a mental look at myself to see where I am, where I want to go and if I still have the stamina, both mentally and physically, to get there and most, if not all of this is in relation to my writing and, I'm sorry to say, original writing for me looks to be a bit bleak. As for the world; I truly believe that I and those of my generation have seen the best of this wonderful country called "America".

Great writing, Diana

Oh, Diana, I am well aware of that inner freedom you so expertly write about, although It took me decades of guilt and pain to arrive where I am today. I'm happy for you, onward to a better life.

As for the world? I have serious misgivings concerning it. It seems we are on a path of self-destruction.
