Moonwish girl and handsome Lad with forehead curl...can they commit to everlasting love, or will their cravings for adventure lead them elsewhere?...
Moonwish (sequel)
The girl she had been wandering Of pleasure had her fill, She now was searching just for love, A man to fit the bill. No need for tastes of Moonwish To lure him to her side, She just would be 'au naturel' Green eyes were open wide... She saw him from a distance, She knew he had been sent, By Universal Consciousness To see her in her tent! He parted silken hangings, Sure of what he'd see, Then spied our girl Green eyes aglow, About to drink Green Tea... Their gazes met Their Hearts entwined Her beauty rare Just blew his mind. The magic of the night begun, Celestial rain and rainbow fun.. He took her hand She shivered, Their cups did overflow, With purest love and innocence, He knew he loved her so. She told him of her nightly games, Was honest from the start, He told her he had played the field, But now they'd never part... The girl he saw within his dreams He'd searched for night and day, Moonwish girl with flowing hair He'd heard the story say.. "Search for the girl With greenest eyes And you will have the highest prize." He knew he had been lucky, To find this lovely girl, To woo her with his handsome face And cutest forehead curl- She too became besotted, No other caught her eye, Her Heart was won by handsome Lad, To him she'd never lie.. But all too soon she craved again The wonders of the night, To savour handsome males again, To visit Stars so bright. One night she crept out after dark, When Lover was 'flat out', And slipped into alluring dress And on her lips a pout. She felt the thrill within her rise, Just as she had before, Out to net a tasty fish And let him taste of her Moonwish..... The night was warm Her Heart beat fast, She spied her dish Her net was cast.. To favourite spot on Milky Way She drew him to her close, Of Moonwish Goblet's sweet Liqueur She gave him double dose. Relaxation, colours bright Free from cares, Just sheer delight... Ecstatic pleasures drew them in, No conscience of her Night of Sin. Entwined they lay in warm embrace, The deed now it was done, She had betrayed her Lover dear For one fast night of fun- She crept back sad with soft lament, And entered now their darkened tent, Scared of what to tell her man, She hid her face beneath lace fan... She drew apart diaphanous silks And entered through to see, Her handsome Love Moonwish in hand With girl upon his knee! He kissed and stroked quite unaware Of Moonwish girl who stood and stared.. His hands were deft, The girl she sighed, And Moonwish girl Sank down and cried. She knew they were a pair alike, And through the Stars They liked to hike... Pleasure seekers of the First Degree Who needed to be fast and free. Not for them to settle down And raise three kids And live in Town... The Universe was theirs to play, Just fun, fun, fun, Fun all the way! So the moral of this tale could be - Stay in your tent And drink Green Tea.. Leave all your Moonwish days behind, And to your handsome man be kind - Just shower him lots with love and kisses... To keep away those flighty Misses.....
HMMMM...SEEMS NONE ARE HARDLY ABLE TO TAKE WHAT THEY GIVE, WHEN IT COMES TO ONE ADHEREING FAITHFULLY TO 'TREASURE' WHICH FATE HAS RENDERED...AS A GIFT. SO I WOULD HAVE TO AGREE. INSTEAD OF SURRENDERING TO TEMPTATION OF 'MORE HONEY' ON A GREENER TREE, ONE WOULD BE WISE TO TEND THE TREE THEY ALREADY HAVE AND...LET IT BE. '...I AM THE LORD THEY GOD, I AM A JEALOUS GOD...', AMEN. ENJOYED, THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
Usually the sequel is not as good as the original, but this one was better. The twist and turns ended with an unexpected ending. I"ll stick with the green tea I believe.

Love this story poem...,"Pleasure seekers of the First Degree...the words, emotions, all come together, Diana!
When I read pieces such as "Moonwish" and "Moonwish (Sequel)," they cause me to remember just how learnéd you are in the study of poetry, accompanied by the skill of writing it as well. I have read this several times already, and I simply marvel each time with its rhythm, rhyme, and its musical qualities. You have a unique talent, Diana, something I have tried on occasion, but soon put it aside, along with the defeated realization that I am out of my league, attempting to reach for the stars when only treetops are my limit. So here I sit...waiting for your next gem to come my way...filling me with both appreciation and envy. And I ask forgiveness for the latter. 👏👏👏
While not quite epic, it was long. Yet as I read, it was fast-paced and very easy to read making the length just right for your purpose and wonderfully rhymed.
As for the subject, I loved it. Especially the part about both of them being free to roam and enjoy without having guilt and anger or jealousy to enter in to their relationship. So when you put the moral at the end it kind of put a damper on my thinking.
This is a great rhymer, Diana, and a fast-paced in and out of love poem. I like it a lot, but I'm still working on "besotted" and "diaphanous silks." Are these traps that you Brits set for the unwary? :=)
Wow Diana this is pure magical. I am sure everyone who reads this will be delighted with these beautiful verses and more so agree with you wholeheartedly... I wished to write something similar but you did it for me ... too... This fellow the moon , he is very smart.. wooing many at a time!! O men please listen!! Roseline
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
