Such beautiful thoughts to read on this sunny Thursday morning. Your poetry is always so calm and soothing. This one in particular, reminds me of George Gershwin’s “Summertime.” I would like to quote the first verse:

Summertime
And the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin'
And the cotton is high
Oh, your daddy's rich
And your ma is good-lookin'
So hush, little baby
Don't you cry

My wife and I once waited in line to board a ship for Hawaii. The woman in front of me was from the Canadian Province of British Columbia. For a moment, there was a lull in our conversation. The woman said something to me that no one had ever said before, and that is: “Oh, please talk some more. Your accent is so cute.” And so, I say to you, Diana: Oh, please write some more poetry. I love the way you put your thoughts together to soothe one’s soul.

Spring rain turns to summer rain, a blessing of hope indeed. It is raining outside my balcony now here in Florida. Heavy summer tropical rain. I love it after living so many years in the desert.

It amazes me sometimes how such simple things can affect our emotions and change our perspectives. I couldn't sleep so I walked outside in the early morning hours today and seen the most gorgeous full moon that I have seen in a long time. I can't totally describe it but like your rainbow...it just seemed to calm my soul. Nice write Diana.
