In the Silence of the Morning..

In the silence of the morning

in the whisper of a breeze,

when birds awake to morning light

in ancient knowing trees.

when fields are fresh with morning dew

and the River shares its Peace...

Nature's love bestowed each day

in gifts that never cease..

A beautiful image filled poem. You have eyes that search beyond what is seen. Many times I have looked at a tree standing majestic and proud and wondered what secrets it holds and what it has seen through the years.

So precious to feel alive and receptive- all in poetry.
I stay surrounded by gifts of nature, and we have landscaped our property into a comfortable home- especially for humming birds.

The best of poetry Diana.

A nice reminder of how nature can restore the soul, especially in the early morning. Reminds us to get outside and enjoy it.

Always enjoy tangible brevity. Our favorite time here in SoCal is morning, starting an hour before sunrise. rlc

If only all humans could be as wise as birds and trees. Your poem capture a moment most people rarely notice, nature's love freely offered!

Diana,
It is a wonderful feeling being in the nature early in the morning.
Your poem reflects that experience and feeling.

Diana,

Once again you have given us the gift of your talent through the beauty of poetry. I was going to tell you my favorite line, but there are three favorites. They are:

“in ancient knowing trees”
“and the River shares its Peace” and
“in gifts that never cease.”

Keep them coming, Diana.

David

You have the ability to bring forth the beauty of the nature and awaken us all from the destruction and the hatred between the human race. Thank you, Diana!

Ddiana: It's 6 AM here, and I just awakened--groggy of mind, misty of eye, and still bumping into things. And it was all worth the while. Your poem grabbed me and shook some sense into my head. Such a pleasant and well-structured poem! Even here in Florida, the temp is down, the air is clear, and my mood just went up two rungs on the ladder of life. Thanks for the pick me up. Ed
