this is a beautiful capture, Lavender J. It brings such a sorrowful poignancy and yet a resurgent optimism... that dream deferred. Birds of course, cannot stay "lonely" for long... of a feather, they flock together! And the songbird cannot stay sad for too long. The miracle is in the swiftness with which bird wings mends. At least, I certainly hope so! Thank you for this vulnerable, thoughtful piece. Kate xx
Hope your wing mends soon - your sadness, evident in these lines born from hurt - you're in my prayers. An excellent write in few words convey the poignancy.
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
