Metaphorical write, re-considered, re-worked & re-posted. Wonder how many will see the symbolism in the image...

Great builder of bridges

In the dungeons below a stainless palace
Built into the shape of a slot to insert a key
That unlocks doors to the realm of malice
A man wearing black squats on one knee
A mind so dark, it pales the blackest night
Solemnly worships the Emperor of Fright
His whispers put out the candle flames
His heart bears all the world’s blames
The soft rumors that echo in the dark
Summon all wicked spirits to embark
On board a vessel christened Hate
Destined to sail to mankind’s fate

Among the travelers aboard the ship
There are many familiar faces I know
Billions of souls have joined this trip
While not one realizes where we will go
I see long lost ancestors, and you and me
Our ofspring and those not yet come to be
The ambience is cheerfull, spirits are high
Emotional reunions make many of us cry
The reign of time seems to have ended
The spirits of all times finally blended
As the great vessel sets out to sail
Not one single soul is able to bail

Mirror like oceans stretch beyond view
Our journey bound to be smooth and fast
While the ship cuts through emerald blue
Happiness seems certain to eternally last
Seagulls fly high above the ship’s decks
Only the captain is aware of the parallax
No one knows him or has seen him yet
Revels leave no time to worry about that
While his claws firmly control the helm
Only he knows the course to the realm
Where the vessel’s true destination is
In no way mired by his soiled remiss

In the night when most are asleep
A breeze caresses the vessel’s hull
It does not concern any of the sheep
Who after celebrating, enjoy the lull
While the breeze slowly gains force
Half the lot is drunk, the rest snores
The ocean’s ripples turn into waves
But the immense ship still behaves
Over the horizon however, a storm
Dilates preparing itself to transform
A peaceful dream into a nightmare
Infinitely beyond history’s compare

At 3 AM the tempest had awoken all
The ship fiercely pitched and rolled
Only the mysterious skipper stood tall
He steered the ship tightly and bold
As the travelers panicked and feared
When the vessel ferociously veered
The journey would end here and now
While the Light seemed not to endow
Continuation of His beloved creation
Abandoning His promise of salvation
The captain loved mankind's doubt
And exclaimed a triumphant shout

The huge vessel broke and went down
The passengers did not stand a chance
There were screams of dying all around
And prayers, gargles and despondence
Man’s struggle for life came to an end
In an insane carnage carefully planned
The captain’s laughter filled the skies
Transforming earth’s oceans into ice
But in a distant place past the horizon
Under remains of the vessel’s mizen
A few survivors strived to stay warm
Outside evil’s view and brutal storm

Rage of Reason

Rage
The grid like formation in the picture, reminds me of the grid like design of Washington DC, designed by the fraternal Founding Fathers..
You are right, there are only a few survivors...

"Wonder how many will see the symbolism in the image..." Probably not many of us dumb-dumbs.

This is a forboding look at life as we live it today and the lot we can expect anytime. I admire the twist you take to get your message across. I see the wisdom here.
Thanks Chris. Some of us already know and those are the ones still on the shore.
Susan
