What I Learned from a Game of Spider Solitaire

God can use whatever example he likes

To speak to his children.

Be patient:

Don’t try to get all your cards in order

Right away

Or you will just waste moves

What if I don’t win a game, or any games?

His answer: you’re not always going to win every one

No matter how perfectly obedient you are to my voice.

Sometimes it is my will that you lose.

What if you have called me to lose all time?

Then lose with dignity.

Keep focused on hearing my voice;

Keep focused on each move.

Don’t focus on the progress

Or how messy things look.

I know what card is coming next;

You don’t.

Listen to me

Listen to me.

Do what I say no matter how stupid it looks.
