The heavens

Stretched out before me is the heavens, though a darkness grows beneath every surface, in which mysteries are concealed and remain unknown. Words have no meaning, lost forever in an endless life. Secrets hidden in a burning monolith, escaping to the skies of this in depth abyss, misguided thoughts and dreams in the distance. Melted clocks on the wall, tell us a time that really means nothing at all. If there was only one person who really understood, would it mean something, or does it all depend? There’s always a reoccurring thought that all dreams will soon come to an end. Moving on through life with an emptiness that grows within me and over time, it’ll consume my heart and soul. It becomes a part of me, its everything in my life that I know I hate. And I live with it, day in and day out. Every moment that I’m awake, hopes are broken and fate is torn. You are the one to wear the crown of thorns. Forever left to wither with your agonizing shame.
People pity you, and you don’t see why and you start to wonder if your really that blind. And seeping into your head, are the whispers that you always dread. What have I done? Its time to face the facts. I am the one who wears this crown of thorns I can’t run from it anymore. I’m just to tired. I can’t carry this with me anymore, I no longer want this crown of thorns. It is I who people pity, it is I whom I shame. What have done? Its caught up with me and its more haunting then before. I can never free myself from what I hate. I carry it with me, everyday like my own weight. I was looking for something, that’s never been there before, I guess I gave up, I guess I didn’t care. I was looking for something that wasn’t really there. I‘ve given up on a meaningless vow, as the heavens lay before me, and I guess that is alright for now…
