Thank you Pea for this piece. I read a number of other poems on the Angels that Care site including your piece called "Mirrors Of The Soul". That was gripping and extremely powerful. I've been there and done that like alot of women and I have to tell you that the greatest thing that any woman can do for another in that situation is to talk to her, and encourage her to get help. So often women have no idea just how far left their thinking has become as a result of abuse. I know I didn't until someone helped me. Bless you my friend. Michelle

A very compassionate, soft offering Pea...Angels That Care is a catalyst for reaching out and offering an act of kindness and caring that spreads not only the word of abuse, but spreads the facts to enlighten one on knowing they are being abused. Achieving solutions to the problem through your voice is the highest form of human devotion and compassion there is. So thank you very much for enhancing our level of communication on abuse. Abuse Is Not The Victim's Fault - how so very sadly true, Phyllis; and a wonderful poem you have penned. I hope many victims of abuse heed its powerful message.
