I love it! My thesaurus looks like your dictionary. And nothing beats the good old 4 inch thick, tiny-print unabridged dictionary for scrabble and word games. :~)

Yes, yes, yes...it's also good to have some dark smudges on the pages and a little tea dribbled on the cover too. I love the smell of books and no book should be thrown away. Brilliant. Liz

It was a good write, I just have to say anyhow. I have two Dictionaries (one meriam-webster and one funkenwagle) and they are beat, with the bindings in need of some serious ducktape from all those many years back before the computer where I had to write and look every word up. Trusted as they were I still would love to get a new full dictionary for the shelf only because I love this electronic one with the big W on the tool bar where any doubt I have is only a click away. Loved this my friend, I too have a dear old friend such as this, well actually two...one yes an old Websters dictionary, purchased when I was a little girl at a second hand store, it seemed enormous then, now only large..and the other a time worn bible that was handed down by my aunt who inherited it from my grandparents...both books full of knowledge and wisdom both stood the test of time! Enjoyed this write my friend as I am a passionate book collector, and my favorites are the antique ones! Well done!

I have one also but rely on my electronic wizard mostly until it fails and then I hit old Webster. Unique poem and one that anyone who writes can relate to.
