Happy Holidays! [For those of you who don't observe Christmas or Hanukkah, Happy Anyway{-s?}!}--- Hope you enjoy these!! {I see I slipped and used 8 syllables re the "unclouded" line. . .darn!
clouds race to the moon
slowed by hidden pails of paint
color called rain gray
A hawk dips and swoops
for one breath I circle unclouded
wind ruffles feather
winter strips naked
the grace of trunk and long limbs
black lace silhouettes
color book sun shines
on green velvet and dandelions
still warm still a child
berries plump and red
holly giving the green light
two hunger bright eyes
snow slips in in white
fur slippers so it won't wake
too clever to hate
dark a need like light
seeing stars imagining ghosts
cozying up to night
too sweet this twilight
chilled perfume from summer's lab
blood is running hot
eyes and organs swell
red blossoms around a post
from lonely seek mate
some call it pea soup
pepper got away from cook
grey fog coats look out
