those words you’ve never seen
“neurasthenic” “panegyric” “eclogue”
dropped by a reviewer or columnist
forcing you to find a dictionary
“contumelious” “declivity” “inconscient”
potholes in the highway of sentences
dragging attention to the rear view mirror
and jarring your front end alignment.
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
