WHEN HOPE IS ALL WE HAVE
When hope is all we seem to have
With nothing left to spend
When all we have is waiting
And it seems the day will end.
With all you have left to do
And all you care about
You need to hold on to your life
And let go of all the doubt.
From early in the morning
The day seems no end
I hear you calling out to me
The road I’m traveling
took another bend.
I’m holding on to hope
You taught me to somehow
You promised that you’d love me
Some days I wonder how.
When hope is all we seem to have
I’m learning to hold on
I know you’ll show me
What to do
You have it all planned out
I’m learning everyday to
Let go of all the doubt.
I’m learning Lord that you’re the one
I turn to everyday
I need to start with a simple plan
That’s only just to pray.

Just read this poem, at this time when my brother has been confirmed on terminal cancer and may die soon, hope is all I really have. (And your prayers.)
