I opened my eyes to the beauty around me this morning and felt so overwhelmed by the love of the Lord. I had to write this poem.
ON THIS DAY, I PRAY I walked along the beach this morn The breezes blew my hair There wasn’t but one step I took That I knew you would be there. The vastness of the ocean Does seem to overwhelm The tiny sailboat out to sea With a sailor at the helm. I feel Your presence everyday In my life you see When I am walking out here Lord I feel so close to Thee. Touch my life and fill my heart With your love on this day Help me walk the path You choose and help me not to stray. I give my life to you again Everyday I feel brand new It’s only when I seem to doubt With feelings I am blue. I open up my heart to you Don’t ever let me stray Keep me ever close to you As on this day…I pray. Written by Kathyrn Neff Perry ©Copyright 2008 All Rights Reserved
