BROKEN ROADS
I’ve traveled down those broken roads
Wondering which way to go
I reached up to take your hand
Knowing what was so.
The turns I’ve taken in my life
Full of anger, full of strife
I’m learning now to hang on to
The very thoughts of loving You.
I’ve often wondered what you think
When at times I’m on the brink,
Of going down that road again
The one that seems to have no end.
I hold on to thoughts of you
Telling me you love me too.
I’m wondering why that seems to be
That you could love even me.
I know at times you’ve asked me why,
You’ve held my hand, you’ve seen me cry.
I need to carry in my heart
My love from you and not depart.
I promise on this day, I do
I’ll always be there loving you.
I hope to follow in the way
Where You want me on this day.
You planned my life
Don’t let me stray.
I love you Lord
I’ll try to be
The person that
You see in me.

Very inspiring and timely. Nicely written too! Thanks so much for this, and trust the Hand of God that holds you through many broken and winding roads, for He promised never to leave you nor forsake you.
Merry Christmas!!!
