After complications from an eye surgery arose and I sat in a dark room for twelve hours, this poem came to me
THE DARK ROOM Open my eyes Lord Help me to see The darkness around The beauty to be Alone and afraid The darkness remains Don’t leave me I pray I promise refrain Once I could see A vision not far A light in the distance A falling star On you I shall train My eyes to see In the distance my light My hope and my plea Forever my love I pledge to Thee The light of my life Keep trained upon me In a dark room I sit all alone The stillness abounds Tis then your light shown Written by Kathryn Neff Perry ©Copyright 2010 All rights reserved

I never feel alone because I know who holds my hand in the dark --well done

Heart-felt and well-expressed.

How frightening. My aunt went through eye surgery and completely lost her sight in that eye from it. She had something called Fuch's Disease and they did not know about it when she had surgery.
