Velocity of Love (For Bryt Eyz)

When I think of her…it is fondly so
While saturated by her sensuous essence
At the rate of a thousand smiles per second
The velocity of love in it’s purest form
She regards me from a comfortable distance
I am aware, yet I dare not turn away
Or acknowledge what she may be thinking
Although I am unsure of what she sees
Yet the warmth of her focus draws me
And I am flattered by her mutual need
To be the reason for her midnight dreams
And the answer to this fantasy’s question
And so I surrender to her wayward glances
And I welcome the caress of her eyes
In this contrast to her youth and beauty
As a response to where my insanity lies

*This is in response to Bryt Eyz poem "Isn't She Lucky" which inspired me to write this in appreciation of her work and beautiful heart.

Wow!~
What does one say when they're breathless? What does one do when they're numb?
What else can I do, when faced with this honor,
But voluntarily or not... succumb?

I bow to thine richness
I give in to the flow
I float with the tide
That every reader must know

For your words are more than lovely
And they're surely never trite
They're simply perfect phrases
that seem to fit just right!

So, what do I say while in a humbled state
What else is there for me to do
Than to readily and wholeheartedly say...
Thank you, thank you, ... thank YOU!
