I am immobilized by the titanium of her resolve
that heart that she possesses to overcome all
I watch her movements filled with a greased pain
knowing well the caress of her crystalline soul
She longs from the sill of a weathered window
as the creator has tested her with tribulation
Yet she sets eyes firmly in the distant horizon
and keeps dreams in a treasure chest of faith
while determined to cross an unfamiliar bridge
Her beauty is not just delegated to the surface
but also to that child that lives eternally within
deep beneath the skin of an embattled heart
Strong but never cold to an appreciative touch
She sees me in flight from rooftop to rooftop
like a welcomed raven with a prism for eyes
beyond crossroads leading to green pastures
and through dark clouds that loom overhead
She spins tales of the reflections in the mirror
of the defenseless and those without means
extending her hand to downtrodden strangers
with the pure love that was born in her house
She finds rainbows in the midst of tornadoes
and sheds real tears of compassion and joy
She surrounds me with an extended warmth
to share unhesitatingly the joy in her heart
and I can know the patience and frustration
and I can know the sweet sorrow and pain
and feel true security in the arms of her love
the moment that I enter her titanium heart
She brings me much closer to her front door
where I can arrive and listen to her whispers
so that I can see clearer through her eyes
and there intermix her dreams with mine
