I have always believed her saving grace to be
without any hesitation, her incredible noun
One like no other that I had ever known before
Although it was true without a shred of proof
that vinegar and oil do not very well mix
Although there was no longer reason to deny
that I would be better off thinking clearly
without her noun stuck in my parched throat
without it dancing nonchalantly in my eyes
like an exotic belly dancer in a private oasis
while my tongue swayed to her angled hips
like a captive cobra mesmerized to her music
so that my dreams would be vulnerable again
so that my imagination would be predestined
wrapped in the deep blue sheets of this fantasy
Yet, even in my slumber I was surprised to find
my hips still moving to the tune of her sensuality
It would be nearly impossible to think otherwise
for without her noun, I would sink to the bottom
for I was but a gyroscope in the bowels of a ship
drifting aimless upon the sands of an arid desert
finding no comfort under the hot scorching sun
until her noun became an ocean to inundate me
and her whispers were winds that filled my sails
and the impetus of my past proved my direction
aware that she was a stowaway in my dreams
Yet knowing her presence proved that I existed
and that I had been born only to serve her well
And when the music stopped, she turned to me
And as she smiled, the universe fell to my feet
as stars and comets and all space in between
black holes, nebulas, planets and moons alike
concentrated to light up my destination and path
And it was then that it all became so clear to me
that I finally discovered the real meaning of it all
when I found the name of her noun…was “love”
I was (with my over active imagination) starting to think her noun was something else... (well, you have been naughty in past with some of your poems...hot hot hot! ) so finding her noun was 'love' was a relief and delight for me.
This poem was very original, witty and beautiful too.

Smooth from beginning to end, but I confess to favoring:
"...Although it was true without a shred of proof

I enjoyed the creative way you you approached this. A noun. Now, verb :) Leaves the reader with warm fuzzies and a big smile.
Thank You,
