You Just Know

As the leaves fall they know it is Autumn
As the Sun rises she knows it’s daytime
As animals mate, they know it’s time to reproduce

Is that what it means?

How do you describe the feeling it brings?
How do you base a life commitment on a feeling
If you are wrong you will always be dealing…

You just know…
Ohhh man my brain is crying
I need someone to describe to me
Without all this lying
It has to be more to it than that
There has to be more facts

When I found you,
I was constantly smiling
You entered the room and my love started piling
We talk for hours and built each other up
We were willing to admit when we messed up
We stand alone strong
But together we are stronger
Every time we see each other our feelings grow fonder
There are ups and downs
But we learn from mistakes
We respect one another whatever it takes
In any given situation we survive
And we know we can make it through any problem that flies

I love you and you love me
Although we may not always be together happily
We can make it
And our bond is not faked

HOWEVER…

The rest of my life is a big deal,
How do I know in 20 years how I’ll feel?

And then it dawned on me…
Your brain is not involved
Your body tells you,
You have no say in the matter, do you?

It is in your gut
Gut tells Heart to step it up
Heart becomes one with Gut and swells beyond recognition
And you realize what you are feeling is not fiction.

How do you know?

You can’t think about it…
Do you think about how to smile or how to cry?
It just happens, you just know.

When Brain interferes, it means Gut has fears.
In a situation that is right, Gut doesn’t hesitate or fight.

Just like you know when you have to eat
Just like you know you need to sleep
Just like a baby knows when it is time to leave its mother’s womb
Just like God blesses the day with
Rain to feed the land…

Your body tells you. There are no questions, it just feels right.

When I found you, I stopped wondering. Gut said, “Heart, it is time!”

So, how do you know when you have found the one?

You just know.

Omega Factor by John Henning

Take some time to walk outside of your own mind and into another, walk slowly and carefully; the mind that you step on might be your own.
