Kills or killed
Those that do

Did not fit.
Christians
Catholics
Mormons
Jehovah Witnesses
Islam
Judaism
Along with a few others
Have members only clubs.
Everyone else
like Atheists,
Hindus
and Buddhists
are locked out;
Excluded
With a one way ticket
Straight to Hell
and
Eternal suffering.
Doesn’t matter if you are a virgin,
Never lied,
Never cussed,
Never drank alcohol,
Never smoked dope,
Never stole;
Always worked hard
Always sacrificed for others
Like a saint.
The solution is to
Cross that street
To the other side
Where
New believers
Even
Thieves,
Murderers and rapists
Are greeted
With open arms
To practice redemption.
It doesn’t matter if one
Slips into the old ways
Now and then.
They are always welcome back.
All they have to do is
Ask for forgiveness and believe.
Without a membership card
There is no ticket to heaven
so cross that street
and
Contribute
or
Tithe
or
Become a martyr.
Like Costco and Sam’s Club
Many religions
Have a price.
The end game
Says,
“You can’t get into heaven
Without buying
a membership
From one or the other
Depending who you believe.”
Money is not
Always the price.
Sometimes it may be
Your soul.

Why can we all just join hands in some super-duper dome and have
this magnificent love-in? Why? -gene.
As Aberjhani says, a thought-provoking write challenging us to come to terms with intolerance and fixed points of view. I have an aunt (Catholic) who firmly believes and will tell anyone after a moment's acquaintance that she as a Catholic "has a special relationship with God" and if you're not of that religion...well tough! She may be very old but her views have filtered down to many others, and that I find disturbing.
