Never an easy task
The pain often hard to mask
Yet, the ability to accept
The truth hurts only for a short time

Acceptance
Of Rejection
From a former lover
Who no longer desires your touch

Acceptance
of the fact
that dreams can be a reality
entangled with hurt and pain
and often falls short of riches and fame

Acceptance
Of Knowledge
That we are all weak at some point in time
Vulnerable to others and
Subjects to ridicule

Acceptance
of being broken
often beyond repair
knowing that you can
rise above your current despair

Acceptance
No one will accept you
Until you love and accept yourself
Regardless of how broken
You maybe

Acceptance
Of the fact
You are what God has made You
That is Total
Acceptance!
