One day on the dark side...

While stumbling on through life's great scheme
I chanced one time to have a dream
At least it seemed a dream to me
Perhaps it was reality

I looked into a deep dark hole
And saw a falling tortured soul
I shuddered for this soul to see
And thought "Thank God, that isn't me"

For in this hole so dark and deep
A thousand demons watch did keep
For all the torured twisted souls
Who threw themselves into these holes

And as this damned human fell
He saw the ones he knew so well
The first was 'Pride', his evil grin
Felt like it had come from within

The next 'Intolerance', as he fell
Oh yes the soul had known Him well
And there was 'Anger', dressed in red
The soul and He were kin 'twas said

Then came 'Defeat', and yes 'Despair'
And many more who waited there
To watch this lowly human fall
And torure him throughout it all

And then the light of 'Love' shone through
And in its glow the soul I knew
As it passed through its private Hell
And on and on and on I fell!
