In our modern time, we have a number of ways to communicate with each other locally and across the globe. These methods of communication can be performed using devices such as a cable phone, mobile phone or via the Internet.
With appropriate engineering design and regular maintenance, these types of communication devices presently are a vital part in everyday situation. However, not everyone around the world has immediate or regular access to them. On the other hand, if someone is trying to communicate to you how he/she is feeling, then words may not be enough, as the only way to know exactly what that person is going through mentally and emotionally is to experience the same feelings, as he or she is feeling, at the same time. Even though this kind of experience may not be possible to achieve by many people, there are certain situations where this can happen spontaneously, such as the feeling of a mother towards her child, or going through the same feeling by the mother as her child feels. Sometime it can manifest in a different way, such as sensing the danger before it happens.
These few examples do take place from time to time, and in most cases, without knowing why by those who experience them.
However, when the mental and emotional walls we build around us drop completely i.e. when we remove the mental and emotional barriers around us, when our mind become under our control, rather than the mind controlling us, then the situation will be different, especially when there is a complete and absolute trust between two (or more) people who are trying to tune emotionally and mentally to each other.
Unconditional love with total trust can make it easy to open the mental channel – anytime - with those who are going through certain experience or feelings, in particular when there is an urgent need for help or acute suffering taking place. The mental and emotional experience will be shared instantaneously, regardless of the physical distance or how positive or negative the state of that particular person finds himself or herself in.
Messages Of Pain Received From Another Plane
Crushing feelings
Originating from someone
But arriving
And being felt
With every breath
Experiencing the same
Undermining the senses
Folding the arms
Dropping the head
Bending the spine
Emotional Pain
Arriving from the same
Shaped with strange
Images
Rooted in a mixed
New and
Long seated
Sadness
The mental level
Suddenly pregnant
With regrets, despairs and
Blames
Causing the same
To collapse
In deep depression
Changing the human
Of an injured soul
To a mere “flesh”
And
Dislocated “bones”
Long physical distant
Nor the Time
Make any difference
When someone's emotional state
Tuned into
Asking
“Desperately” for help
Not knowing that
They are sharing
Everything they feel
“On every level”
Directly
With you
Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
